YUI Plugin: Lighter

2007-11-25

The LighterManager is a YUI plugin for expand the CSS's boundaries, and highlight areas inside the document when the mouse enters in each area. Using the bubble up's technique, you can be able to monitoring the mouse's movement, and fire certain behavior depending on the mouse's target.

The same trick is used in the YUI Menu and YUI BarMenu Components to highlight the element once was focused in the menu, but in this case, I resolved to create a very extensible component, this plugin will be monitoring the mouse's movement, and determining if the mouse go in or out of a highlightable area, and then fire the correspondent behaviors to change the CSS of the element.
